This is quite a comprehensive guide and portions of it are likely advanced topics, but it is still very approachable. For example, just jump to section 4.9 on 'Style' to understand some basic code writing rules.

• ​ClickWatch is a tool to visualize Click instances. Click can be started as a server using

  click -p <port number> <file name>
  

Then ​ClickWatch can connect to the Click instance using the ip address of the node running Click and the port number. It can show all the Click elements and their configuration. It can also read and set handlers.

• ​ns3 Download and install ns3 from here. To install python bindings in Ubuntu

  sudo apt-get install python-ns3
  

Saved an image with the debug build of ns-3.11 named ns-3.11.ndz. There is another image called ns3-bm.ndz that has ns3 and bonnmotion along with all necessary libraries.
